You were right about the fact few people seem interested in CMake here. I think it's a pity since it could be useful on some points. But the fact is CMake scripts are broken now. It is with regret that I advise, as Gary, to keep the scripts out of here; it will asve you questions on the mailing list!

I'm fine with keeping them around as long as they still are mostly working, as that is a better way to get people to join and fix the problems. Once we remove them completely we go back to the previous state where nobody will pop by to fix the cmake build scripts, as we won't have any around to fix.

I think it's better to put them in a directory named "attic", "experimental", or something similar.

We do use CVS so we always have them stored for anyone to read from the respository, even if they end up being removed at a later point.
