As Daniel pointed out, it is really easy to forget about this update. A
warning would be really welcome so that new contributors do not fall into
the same trap.
It's just a bit hard to do in a nice way, as the test files are added to the
package in tests/data/Makefile.am while the script that runs the tests is the
perl script tests/runtests.pl. The perl script would have to parse the
Makefile.am file to figure this out or something.
