Yesterday I committed 'version-check.pl' to the git repo so that anyone
interested can use it, play with it or extend it at will. It is available
here:

The purpose of the script is to scan a source code and tell what libcurl
version requirement the source has, based on the CURL* symbols used in it.
The script has lots of room for improvements, but I felt that it could still
offer something.
