Ok, I was only partially incorrect in my original question. The ultotal
doesn't stay at 0. It does go up to the correct value. But it *does* start
at zero.
You mean that a few calls are made first where it is zero and then it suddenly
bumps up to become the correct value?
Yes, that's actually how it will behave in many cases. There may be ways to
improve this in libcurl but right now you should just take this into account.
