I have not got a chance yet to debug libcurl. We use OpenSSL 0.9.8.5 (0.9.8e) on Windows. Notably, we use OpenSSL 1.0.0d on UNIX.

It is not a known issue. At which source line in libcurl does it crash? What (exact) version of OpenSSL are you using and have you tried to see if the 1.0 version works or not?
