Hi Daniel,

I have tried with couple of newer versions of both lib curl and lib ssh2,
like
libssh2-1.4.2 and lib curl 7.26.0
libssh2-1.4.2 ilb curl 7.21.4 and so on.. it did not help.

to repeat the problem:

you can write an application to transfer a file from your host machine
through sftp to a remote machine that has no password set. in the URL to
curl_easy_perform(), I had passed a junk password.

thanks,
madhu
