Thanks for looking into it Daniel,
I guess I did forget all about the SSL layer and tought (incorrectly)
that Curl_read() will call recv() directly. Since it doesn't I can see
how it will break the current select dependency, unless a Curl_select
was implemented to work out of the buffers.
I'll try a different approach.
