Ok, I've updated https://github.com/JoeNotCharles/curl/commits/ntlm_connect - can you try the top two commits, on top of a fresh libcurl? (I squashed all my fixes together, since I thought there were enough to be confusing.) It works for me, but since I was never seeing the race condition I can't be sure it's fixed.
