I've have added the timer functionality, and now I've got something going on:

 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: return 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: called with fd 17, what 1
 fuse-workspace[3536]: add_to_epoll: add fd 17
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: return 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: readdir_data_from_peer
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: called with fd 18, what 1
 fuse-workspace[3536]: add_to_epoll: add fd 18
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: return 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: called with fd 17, what 4
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: return 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: data changed
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: A
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: line found
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: A
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: line found
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: A
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: line found
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: A
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: B
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: C
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: called with fd 18, what 4
 fuse-workspace[3536]: socket_callback: return 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: multi_timer_cb: received timeout -1
 fuse-workspace[3536]: lookup_ftp_manager
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_readdir: transfer ready
 fuse-workspace[3536]: readdir, nreturn 0, bufpos 0
 fuse-workspace[3536]: RELEASEDIR
 fuse-workspace[3536]: ftp_closedir
 fuse-workspace[3536]: remove_entries_not_found: entry ftp.kernel.org,
ctr 1 on /home/sbon/Network

As you see sockets are opened, and data is found. It still is not
working like it should but I'm a lot futher.
