We now have no less than 9 open bug reports now. I've tried to have them all
submitted in the bug tracker so that we don't miss any (and because I've been
so slow at resolving them):

I planned a quick 7.28.1 release but as it seems I haven't gotten very far on
the HTTP auth thing and there are so many other pending problems I think I'm
now more in favour of doing a full clean-up round and work on fixing bugs for
a couple of weeks and then ship 7.28.1...
