Yes, so I agree with you, curl_off_t should be offered, and should be the functions used. I'd even deprecate all but CURLINFO_SPEED_DOWNLOAD and CURLINFO_SPEED_UPLOAD. With these two, I'd consider keeping them around, in case somone wants to make a more accurate speed counter internally which uses doubles. -Nach
