I figured out why I was getting the segfaults. I was freeing the curl_slist struct after I "put" it into the message. I assumed that it copied the information that it needed and then I could discard the struct but apparently not. I took away the free_slist() call and it's operating fine now.
This fact is documented in the CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER man page. Is there anywhere else you were looking for this info that would've made you discover this easier/sooner ?
