The newly-built curl binary runs just fine as part of the test suite, so it
could be made to run in the same way for this.
For those using autotools isn't src/curl a wrapper for src/.libs/curl
which is the real curl... and the wrapper loads the appropriate
libraries? In Ubuntu 14 mine says:
