Isn't it just in float.h like :

#define DBL_MAX         1.7976931348623157081452E+308

But you have it spelled out way across my editor. Just .. curious here.

I'm also curious about this, it is causing problems for Visual Studio 2012 and 2013 CI on appveyor [1]:

C:\projects\curl\tests\libtest\lib557.c(1632): fatal error C1064: compiler limit : token overflowed internal buffer [C:\projects\curl\build.msvc2012\tests\libtest\lib557.vcxproj]

Other VS versions it seems to be ok. Also that file has a number a few issues caught by checksrc.bat but not regular checksrc. Is it supposed to check that file?

lib557.c:1542:335: warning: Longer than 79 columns (LONGLINE)
lib557.c:1628:360: warning: Longer than 79 columns (LONGLINE)
lib557.c:1630:360: warning: Longer than 79 columns (LONGLINE)
