Please stop top-posting, it makes the conversation harder to follow [1]. Since you are threading I suggest reading the libcurl thread safety guidelines [2], here especially handles and CURLOPT_NOSIGNAL. Also, I notice you didn't say what version of libcurl and what resolver. Please try the latest release, maybe the problem you are experiencing is a bug that has already been fixed.
