The version of the libcurl: curl-7.47.1 Can you confirm that this crash could only occur if two threads are trying to read/write at the multi-handler at the same time?
I cannot with 100% certainty say that there are no bugs in there when used single-threaded, but I'm not aware of any. And that's fundamental code that has remained unchagned for a while and that's used by everyone, every day so I have high confidence in it. (We've also fixed more than 900 bugs since that release...)
That's why I suspect that it is related to threads. But to libcurl there shouldn't be any difference if one call comes from thread 1 and the next from thread 2 as long as the handles are not used simultaneously. To libcurl, they're just calls.
