Since the CURL_LOCK_DATA_CONNECT support is brand new, it is of course not unthinkable that there's a bug or two in there to fix. :-/
Feel free to file a bug about it so we don't forget about it: https://github.com/curl/curl/issues and I'll try to get around and see if I can reproduce it on my (Linux) machine.
