Try MAKE=“NMAKE /e”

I have a long standing AI to make all of this stuff externally visible in a
less hideous manner. Particularly I want to allow the use of debug DLLs ending
in ‘D’, as well as avoiding dill hell by uniquifying the dlls to our build
names but the needed time keeps used up elsewhere.
