Hi, Dennis, We have gcc on the system as well. Do you mean that using gcc, instead of icc, is better? In your email, you said to perform trivial configure and make, can you provide the command?
By the way, I have installed zlib on /home/libtest/lib and /home/libtest/lib is defined at LD_LIBRARY_PATH which can be found from the command "env" USER=libtest LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/libtest/lib: Do I need to provide the zlib library path on the ./configure command?
