Hi,

I’ve recently been attempting to build curl version 7.55.1 on macOS using
openssl as a framework but haven’t been able to get it working. From what I
understand it is usually expected that openssl is provided as a static library,
would anyone be able to advise please if it is possible to use a framework
instead?

After modifying the generated configure script to accept the framework libcurl
builds successfully, however it seems that one of the checks in configure is
ignoring the framework as the following error is produced at runtime when
attempting to use an openssl feature:

Curl: EASY_ERROR[A requested feature, protocol or option was not found
built-in in this libcurl due to a build-time decision.]

Thanks,
Jack
