curl_global_init and https://curl.se/libcurl/c/simple.html

Hi all,

Should:

  curl_global_init(CURL_GLOBAL_ALL);

always be used?

I not this doesn't:

https://github.com/curl/curl/blob/master/docs/examples/simple.c

I've got some segfaulting tests in my project, so just checking I'm
not missing anything.
