Hi team,
The feature window is supposed to get closed next week on the 18th, but I am
personally going to be away then - taking off on the 15th.
I therefore want to announce the feature freeze for the pending release
already in the coming weekend, a few days early. After all, I tend to do the
vast majority of all merges.
Looking at the current queue of PRs, it doesn't seem to be anyone lined up
that is "almost there" to be hurt by this.
The pending next release is meant to become curl 7.88.0; release day Feb 15.
After that release, there will be no feature window but only another bugfix
period until March 20 when we release curl 8.0.0.
This little extra quirk because this is made to happen on curl's 25th
birthday, and when we bump to version 8 I think it makes sense to work on
bugfixes a little extra before taking the big step.
