curl versions don't have "life times". We always recommend the latest version. You can always download (the source code for) older versions.
If you have an unpatched curl 7.74.0, you have no less than (to date) 34 known security vulnerabilities: https://curl.se/docs/vuln-7.74.0.html
The curl project does not provide backported patches for older versions. We only ship security fixes in new releases.
