We are wondering if anyone is still building libcurl for Windows CE

Hi Ray,
I work for a factory as a side gig, and I'm in charge of compiling new
cURL versions for their Windows CE 6 and 7 based systems which are
used for metal fabrication and other related tasks (such as a laser
cutter). A couple of weeks ago, I compiled cURL 8.11.1 (and it's
dependencies) using Visual Studio 2008 - but it did require some
patching. The systems use libcurl for HTTP transfers to an internal
web server to download designs and schematics and related files for
the machines that they control. The application used to use SMBv1, but
that's no longer available in modern Windows versions due to security
issues so they brought me in as a contractor to resolve the issue
(which I did via libcurl).
If I have some time over the weekend or early next week I will boot up
my Windows VM and find the necessary files and will write up some
instructions if desired. Do you also want me to submit PRs for the
patches that I needed to use?
Thanks Doug, whenever you have time that would be great. We are trying
to figure out just how it is done, like what build method is used etc,
because we don't do it ourselves. We may add a CI build of libcurl for
Windows CE if it's feasible. Currently we plan to remove the winbuild
build system in September, and I think that may be one of the last build
systems that can be used to build libcurl with Visual Studio 2008.
