I just gave the 201504071100Z snapshot a try and on my 1000H Eeepc it
still blanks the video, but Mike's advice to
> userconf disable i915drmkms
works fine to continue in text mode. (Disabling "drm" alone is not
good enough.) This holds for both the current 201504071100Z / 7.99.9
and the 7.99.7 snapshot from two weeks ago.
I'll do a full install tomorrow and will check the agp_i810.c 1.118
patch, too.
