Logging this here quickly as I am operating in a remote location. Installing NetBSD/amd64-7.0_BETA via 'sysinst' bombs out at the partitioning step on a DELL PowerEdge 1950 w/DELL PERC 5/i as follows:
---------- Could not open /tmp/disktab.PERC 5/i for writing sysinst terminated. To return to the installer, quit this shell by type 'exit' or ^D ----------- It seems that the disk name derived from the RAID controller contains an embedded "/" character. Perhaps such things need translations to make a reasonable file name? -- |/"\ John D.
