Ah, no.  :)  I meant that the caps lock key seems to work, so the
machine is not completely hung.

Yeah, I'm running without nouveau for now.  Works fine, except that
Firefox (I use binary packages from netbsd.org) runs unbelievably
slowly.  I'm guessing that's because X falls back to a very pedestrian
graphics driver when I disable the correct hardware support.
