Hello, entropy for me is still brittle. Does "consolidating" entropy survive a reboot? I still get stalls. The first thing was install a new kernel.. and again I got the dreaded not enough entropy.
[ 10879.215507] entropy: pid 6895 (python3.9) blocking due to lack of entropy I think I have read on the mailing list that for older CPUs not supporting the expected randomness some fallback was supposed. Saving and consolidating isn't just good enough Riccardo [ 1.000003] cpu0 at mainbus0 apid 0 [ 1.000003] cpu0: Use lfence to serialize rdtsc [ 1.000003] cpu0: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6670 @ 2.20GHz, id 0x1067a [ 1.000003] cpu0: node 0, package 0, core 0, smt 0 [ 1.000003] cpu1 at mainbus0 apid 1 [ 1.000003] cpu1: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6670 @ 2.20GHz, id 0x1067a [ 1.000003] cpu1: node 0, package 0, core 1, smt 0 Source Estimated bits Samples Type Flags /dev/random 0 0 ??? collect, v cd0 0 0 disk collect, v, t wd0 0 41690 disk collect, v, t acpibat0-discha 0 0 power collect, v, t acpibat0-charge 0 0 power collect, v, t cpu1 0 13544 vm collect, v, t cpu0 0 13294 vm collect, v, t hardclock 0 976 skew collect, t coretemp1-cpu1 0 96 env collect, v, t coretemp0-cpu0 0 94 env collect, v, t re0 0 0 net v, t pms0 0 0 tty collect, v, t pckbd0 0 405 tty collect, v, t acpitz5-tempera 0 6 env collect, v, t acpitz4-cpu0/cp 0 36 env collect, v, t acpitz3-cpu0/cp 0 54 env collect, v, t acpitz2-cpu0/cp 0 136 env collect, v, t acpitz1-tempera 0 2 env collect, v, t acpitz0-tempera 0 0 env collect, v, t system-power 0 2 power collect, v, t autoconf 0 108 ??? collect, t seed 0 0 ??? collect, v
