I think you mean SUFFIX, but in this case, the two ports are mutually
exclusive, so one could only have one rb installed. Therefore, I
chose to leave it off, and mark it NO_LATEST_LINK instead.
What's the benefit of this?
I guess it makes it a bit easier to convert the port to rhythmbox when
0.12.0 is released, but I never really considered it that closely.
There have been a few such examples (especially with GNOME ports) where
we've kept PKGNAME untouched to keep in sync with the actual dist names.
With PKGNAMESUFIX a pkg_info or ls /var/db/pkg tell you what port you
have installed.
I understand your point, but it's not that difficult to see this with
pkg_info -o.
