I think the 5-roadmap article is also quite outdated since 5.5 will be the last 5.X release, and this article covers the problems and plans that existed about the time 5.0 was released. What do you think about removing it, too?

I think we need to support that untill 4.X is no longer in the picture.
The security team still supports 4.X and people might still be migrating
from 4.X to 5.X/6.X within that timeframe.  If we are to remove it I
would suggest to wait a little till the 4.X game is really over..
