FreeBSD ports repository

Modified files: emulators/open-vm-tools Makefile distinfo pkg-plist
  Log: - Updated to 8.8.0

PR: ports/161891 Submitted by: Douglas Carmichael
<[email protected]> Approved by: gabor (mentor)

Revision Changes Path 1.55 +3 -3
ports/emulators/open-vm-tools/Makefile 1.14 +2 -2
ports/emulators/open-vm-tools/distinfo 1.28 +5 -0
ports/emulators/open-vm-tools/pkg-plist
Did anyone test if vmhgfs.ko works with this version? It did work in
the previous version, but when I tested it with the versions in PRs
160941 (which I think is older than the version committed) and 163725
(this one is newer than the version committed) and it didn't work in
either of those two. If it doesn't work, I think this should be
reverted unless there's some benefit to this newer version besides the
higher version number.
I hate to ask, so I don't sound like a total idiot...
I know how to revert a patch in svn ('svn update -r {old rev}'), and I ASSUME its similar in cvs, but, I only see rv numbers for Makefile,pkg-plist and pkg-message.

so, I am thinking: copy over a backup (rsync -avC --delete /old/usr/ports/emulators/open-vm-tools/ /cvsdir/ports/emulators/open-vm-tools/)
 and committing it.

I can wait till gabor chimes in, but I thought this was important enough to group reply and risk public ridicule.
