Are you absolutely sure that the corruption isn't intentional? Note
that the only non-printable characters are \a; it seems to me that the
point of this truncated entry is precisely to leave the reader
wondering what the punchline is and cursing the "line noise".
I think the line noise should be replaced with something about Hitler.
