Gee Julian, I thought you had mastered the difference between stable
and current by now, but just to make it clear: PCVT is still present
in -stable.
In other words, there are at least a year (under current planning)
until FreeBSD 7.0 comes out, so if somebody wants to resurrect pcvt
they have a year to do so.
Since stable users will want to upgrade to 7.x i a year or so, then it
makes sense that an RFC
about deleting features should be posted to -stable, and you shouod wait
long enough for anyone
to reply before deleting it.. I do not say it can't go, just that your
trigger finger is a bit too quick.
