Quoting Robert Watson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (from Sun, 25 Jun 2006 14:23:35 +0100 (BST)):

BTW, if the Oracle used to work and now doesn't (i.e., a regression),
then it may well be that this is a good errata patch candidate.
However, if it has never worked, then I'm not sure it is a good errata
patch candidate, and waiting on 6.2 may be the preferred model.

We have a section about installing Oracle 8 in our handbook. And I was told there's an update to the handbook available which explains how to install Oracle 9. For Oracle 10 we got a report that we need this and 2 more patches. The other two patches (or more correct: patches which fix the coresponding problems in a different way than proposed initially) are under review by some people.

Bye,
Alexander.
