Right, but we're not alone. I'm not against putting
additional info in CVS (I would prefer this to be
automated, though), but unless it's set in stone
many committers will continue to choose the easiest
way - do nothing.
How else, on repocopies, can you tell from the
CVS logs what happened?
This is a workaround for the obsolete model that
CVS has.
We survived enough repocopies without any special
forced commits to know that they are not vital.
Committer's Guide [1] does not suggest them.
