Using something like
MYTESTS!= /usr/bin/jot 31 1
TESTS= ${MYTESTS:S,$,.phpt,}
will probably save a lot of chars and efforts.
!= constructs are frowned upon because they cause process execution at
inappropriate times, i.e. every time the port makefile is parsed.
