Sure.
The compiler/assembler on the powerpc barfs on .ident,
hence the omission. I'm happy to make it OSX/PPC specific.
I dont know about OSX/x86, we are still trying to procure
a suitable machine to test on.
Duncan, what do you think about conditionally using .ident?

Just because we can and because every other compiler does,
lets stick in an identifier directive: .ident "GHC x.y.z"
into the assembly output of the NCG.
