Hi
I find it useful to have summaries posted to the mailing list, so we can go back through the archives and find the point when a test started failing, that sort of thing. I presume that's possible too?
Perhaps the results could be accumulated and once a day a single email could be sent to the list with the status of all the builds? This would reduce nightly build email traffic, and still give you the same benefits. One thing you can't see from Ian's page is that buildbot lists more than just the last build - although not forever.
Sure. I like it that our nightly builds test more than just a standard build - e.g. including unregisterised libraries, the stage 3 build, we use the compacting collector when building stage 3, etc. etc.
We found it useful for Yhc to also have some builds that do a clean, some that do a full clean, and some that just darcs pull and build. This also changes the build times, so slower machines can do less work.
