This looks like the problem Thorkil pointed out, but I don't think we
ever got to the bottom of it.
If, in libraries/base, you run
rm -r dist/build
mkdir foo
setup/Setup build --ghc-option=-O --ghc-option=-Rghc-timing
--ghc-option=-fgenerics --ghc-option=-tmpdir --ghc-option=foo
--ghc-option=-keep-tmp-files --ghc-option=-v
then it should leave the temporary files in foo/. Can you send these,
along with the command's output, please?
