This is a real feat! Right on!
It's too bad neither Make nor ghc can handle building in parallel, at
least when ghc is not threaded.
Maybe someone could merge this for the repository, or set it up as a
branch? I don't have the access for that but I can merge it and test
the build on other architectures...

The patches to GHC 6.6.1 are in the file ghc-6.6.1.install in
the shell function called patch_hpux. A couple of the patches
fix cross-platform mangler bugs.
I would appreciate it if someone would place the ghc binary tarball
at least in a more public place (haskell.org?). The above IP address
will be stable for a while (probably on the order of months) but
will eventually be invalid.
