Sorry for slow reply -- we've all been away at ICFP, and indeed Ian Lynagh is
still there, at the Haskell Hackathon.

I'm sure Ian will be in touch, once he's back, about your Buildbot offer --
thank you! (If you don't hear in a couple of weeks, emit a ping -- he'll be
swamped when he gets bavck.)

Concerning code generators, that's Simon Marlow's area, but again I'm sure he'd
be very happy to have help on the Sparc NCG. I'm sure he'll also be able to say
what is bitrotted!

Thanks for your offers of help.

best wishes

Simon

| Hi,
|
| perhaps, this is of more interest, when I also mention that I'd like
| to fix the Sparc native code generator. I will not be able to do it
| very quickly, because I have to read (and understand) a lot of stuff
| beforehand, so if anybody else is quicker, no problem. Otherwise, I'd
| be happy if someone could point me to more docs worth reading besides
| the commentary (and the code, of course) and perhaps give some hints
| in what sense it is 'bitrotted' (like it says in ticket #606).
|
| Best regards,
|
| Florian
