Hi Ian,
i assume the match filter looks for the subjects created
by 'darcs send'?
Yes, for subjects starting "darcs patch".
ok, simple enough - i'll try to remember that next time
(perhaps add a tip to workingconventions: bug/feature?)
but i tend to use 'darcs send -o file' so
that i can (a) add comments,
darcs send --edit-description
that will edit the patch description. apart from that getting
burried in the email attachment, i often need to add
comments referring to the ticket review thread, most of
which belong only in the thread, not the ticket description.
- could one of the moderators please free this one?
Done.
thanks.
or this list is not for patches, then the bounce
message should say so
As far as I know we can't change the bounce message.
urgh. 'bounce message' leads to the wrong search results,
anyway, and there seem to be separate text templates for
different reject/hold reasons, but apparently those aren't
list-specific (yet)? the topic appears in several mailman
threads, with temporary workarounds, and much hope
for mailman 2.2..
assuming that this still is the list where occasional
contributors can send patches, perhaps the list filter
could pass the message on without attachment and
the attachment could be retrieved from the list archive?
As far as I know we can't do that either (and unless we can put a link
to the archive in the message it would be a pain anyway).
there's always an archive link with each message, but
i suspect that anything filtered from the list will also be
filtered from the archive.
thanks,
claus
