Thanks to everyone who responded so far. So far most people seem to be in
favour of a "wait and see" approach with darcs. As promised, I started a

I'm particularly interested in filling out the comparisons with the other
VC systems, so please edit away.
One point that I forgot to make earlier: switching away from darcs does not
in any way preclude switching back in the future. It is by no means a
trivial task, but switching *back* to darcs would be much less work than it
took to switch *to* darcs from CVS.
