I took Claus Reinke's code and put it in a package. I will upload it as soon as I have tested it with GHC 6.10, but for now you can get it from http://github.com/nominolo/ghc-syb . Compiling the Instances module takes very long. Since we don't really need it in GHC right now, I think it's fine to keep it as a separate package.
