Hi all,
Building GHC now requires GNU make >= 3.80. Running "make -v" will show
you what version you have.
Most platforms probably already provide this by default, but one that
doesn't is mingw/msys. To upgrade make on a standard msys installation,
download
make-3.81-MSYS-1.0.11-2.tar.bz2
from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435&package_id=24963
and untar it in
c:/msys/1.0
e.g.
cd c:/msys/1.0; tar -jxf /path/to/make-3.81-MSYS-1.0.11-2.tar.bz2
This will overwrite
c:/msys/1.0/bin/make.exe
(along with make's info file and man page).
