Hi,
I created a patch that extends the PAPI support in the runtime to allow users
to collect native hardware events along with the preset PAPI events. The
extension was mostly to the parameter parsing as all the PAPI machinery was
already in place. The details are in

This is my first patch, so I'm not entirely clear on the procedure. Is it
better if I create a ticket (as I did) or just send it by email? If I just
create a ticket will the patch get seen by the right people, or do I also need
to send an email to this list to announce its existence?
