Really? I find it hard to believe that the last time someone used GHC's
C backend with GCC was in April 2003. There must be something else at
work here.
Exactly. The Debian folks built GHC unregisterised on a number of weird
platforms, and until recently we had unregisterised nightly builds.
This problem is new, and I'd like to understand why it has only just
appeared.
