I don't know how cleanly the changes will merge with yours. I'm kind of hoping the conflicts will be minor. In any event Simon PJ has indicated he doesn't like the approach I've taken (he thinks he has a simpler way, which he hasn't told me about yet) so this branch may never be merged! > (BTW I fixed the problem you encountered with the newcg branch crashing in > stage2, it should be working now).
