Just wondering: why is -fregs-liveness an option?  Are there cases where you
would not want it?

Hmm probably not. It's enabled by default. I like having it as an
option just for debugging purposes but we could just leave it
undocumented as a hidden flag like some other such knobs.

I think that would be better, yes. If it's a documented option, you have to test it and keep it working...
