I'm not sure what I could usefully say - for the most part it would just
be things like:
directory Functions for dealing with directories
The rationale is currently mostly "historical reasons".
I've just added a package dependency graph to the GHC section of
http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/wiki/PackageReorg
(you need to click on it for it to be easily readable); I couldn't
really see a better place for it currently. Perhaps at some point we can
rename PackageReorg to PackageOrg, and that will have the rationale etc.
I've also updated some other bits of the above page that had become out
of date.
